BUY A HAND STAMPED AND SIGNED REPRODUCTION

Numbered copies of gyotaku are available, usually with a circulation of no more than 50 copies. The reproductions are made from high quality scans and printed on 80 g Japanese paper with UV printers that create copies guaranteed for 10 years with direct sunlight. You can also personalize copies by inserting original elements within the composition. For example, you can insert an original colored and opposite anchovy inside a copy of a school of anchovy. In this way you will have a work that is halfway between a copy and an original: a unicum that will not need a progressive printing number because, in effect, it is an original.

PERFORMANCE

The artist is available to do live gyotaku performances, in which the philosophy, history and different schools of thought are explained as well as, of course, a practical demonstration of the technique. Prices depend on the type and location of the performance. The LINEA BATIMETRICA project is the meeting between the artist Elena Di Capita, the Swiss double bass player Mitch Gerber and the aerial dancer Matilde Di Capita: it is a gyotaku performance that combines the print of fish with the print of human being melted together by Gerber's dreamlike and meditative music. The atmosphere created is absolutely suggestive and meditative.
